Dive into the warm, inviting world of our organic Hojicha loose leaf green tea, a delightful variation that enriches the traditional sencha with a unique drum roasting finish. This process involves steaming and drying typical of sencha, followed by an intense roasting over charcoal heat, transforming the leaves into a beautiful light hazelnut brown. The result is a tea that’s brimming with sweet, nutty aromas and a lighter, more soothing character, perfect for those seeking a less caffeinated option.

Our Hojicha stands out for its smoothness and lack of astringency, a common trait in many green teas, thanks to its roasted profile. This not only enhances its flavor, making it more approachable with any water temperature but also offers a calming, enjoyable cup anytime. Whether you're winding down for the evening or seeking a gentle, aromatic tea for the day, our Hojicha is an excellent choice for anyone looking to explore the nuanced spectrum of organic green teas.

How many days will loose leaf tea stay fresh?

Your loose leaf tea, when stored properly, can stay fresh and delightful for up to 18 to 24 months. The key is in how you store it – freshness hinges on keeping your tea away from air, light, moisture, and strong odors. Remember, each cup of Bruce Tea & Coffee's loose leaf tea is a promise of quality, meant to be savored at its best!

How do I store and take care of my loose leaf tea?

To preserve the essence and freshness of your loose leaf tea, store it in an airtight container. Keep it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, strong odors, and moisture. Proper storage is your tea's best friend, ensuring every brew is as flavorful as the first.

How important is brewing technique?

Brewing is an art! The right technique can elevate your tea experience. Temperature and steeping time are crucial – too hot or too long can make tea bitter. Generally, use cooler water for delicate teas like white or green, and hotter water for robust teas like black or herbal. A gentle steep brings out the intricate flavors and aromas. We encourage you to experiment and find your perfect brew!
